Alexandra was born in Romania and came to the United States to be an AuPair for an Orthodox family with three children. That is when she discovered her passion for educating children and met her future husband Mihai. She than began working as a Naturalist (Outdoor Educator) at an Outdoor School located two miles from Yosemite National Park where she took 6th graders on hikes and taught them about nature. She now lives in the Bay Area where she is a science teacher for 6th and 7th grade. She has spent her last three summers at Camp Galileo as Lead Science Instructor. Alexandra has a BS and MS in Biology and she has a California teaching credential.  In her spare time she leads occasional nature hikes for different ages of children. Alexandra is a member of the Holy Cross Romanian Church in San Jose.
