Pre-Conference Visit to the National Park & Monastery

Wednesday & Thursday, April 18-19, 2018

Conference attendees are invited to come to the St.Nicholas Ranch a day before the conference begins in order to spend a day seeing the local sites, including the Kings Canyon National Park and the Monastery of the Theotokos, the Life-Giving Spring. Conference lectures and workshops begin on Friday morning.  Families are welcome to arrive early in the day on Thursday for no additional lodging costs, as Thursday night is included in the lodging package.  For more time at the National Park or at the monastery, families have the option to arrive on Wednesday, April 18, for an additional cost of $50 for Wednesday night lodging.

Outing to Kings Canyon National Park: Grant's Grove (noon)

Noon - 3 p.m. - families are welcome to venture up to Grant’s Grove in Kings Canyon National Park, to see ‘General Grant’ the third largest tree in the world, only 30 minutes from the St. Nicholas Ranch.

Room Check-in for Early Arrivals (after 3:00 p.m.)

Families can check-in to their rooms at the St. Nicholas Ranch anytime after 3:00 p.m.

Family room assignments will be posted on the bulletin board outside the dining hall.

Vespers & Compline at the Monastery (4:00 P.M.)

Vespers begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Monastery followed by the Small Compline & Akathist service.
