Girls' Night Hike

This night hike is an educational science workshop to learn about night vision and how the senses function at night. This night hike is limited to approximately 25 girls and the group is predetermined and printed on a roster in the Conference program.  The drop-off and pick-up location is the Lower Basketball Court. Parents need to pick up children promptly at 8:30 p.m. immediately at the conclusion of the Session 6 Lecture.  This workshop is available for only a limited number of children and selection for participation will based on order of registration.  No drop-ins; no add-ons.

Boys' Astronomy Study & Star-Gazing

This is an educational workshop for children to learn about the night sky.  We will have telescopes set up on the basketball courts to give children the opportunity to see various planets and stars. The children will also be taught how to recognize features of the night sky and how to locate specific stars and planets when looking at the night sky with the naked eye.  This astronomy workshop is limited to approximately 25 boys and the group is predetermined and printed on a roster in the Conference program.  The drop-off and pick-up location is the Upper Basketball Court. Parents need to pick up children promptly at 8:30 immediately at the conclusion of the Session 6 Lecture.

Bedtime Story Hour with John Kosmas Skinas

This indoor story hour is for the youngest age group who will not be participating in the night-time outdoor science workshops.  This 'Bedtime Story Hour' will be led by John Kosmas Skinas, featuring the Orthodox Children's books he has written: (1) Getting to Know God, (2) Pictures of God, (3) From God to You: The Icon's Journey to Your Heart, and (4) Heaven Meets Earth: Celebrating Pascha and the Twelve Great Feasts. His books are published by Ancient Faith Publishing.
